0:10.0	A new series means a new format. So we are hosts, yes, hosts Michael Bird and Aubrey Lovell.
0:17.0	Every two weeks we cover a new topic which explores the rapid evolution of technology and unravels
0:23.5	the way it's changing our world coming up in this season we'll be looking at topics such as
0:35.2	bias in AI bias in AI comes from essentially three different things.
0:41.3	One is what is the data that has been used to train the artificial intelligence?
0:47.3	Second issue is how the models themselves have been trained.
0:51.3	The third bias comes from people deciding to use the outputs from AI in some
0:58.2	prejudicial fashion. We'll also be looking at the rise of exascale computing and its significance.
1:04.6	So in an exascale computer, you have tens of millions of parts. So one huge challenge is just designing the computer
1:14.1	and architecting it in a way that it can actually boot up and run.
1:18.7	That's been a tremendous challenge.
1:20.9	We'll also be diving deep into healthcare
1:23.5	and the ways in which tech is transforming the way that we are treated.
1:32.8	Actually, how diagnostics is and AI is being used now is more around the prevention.
1:40.1	So can we use AI to predict whether that's genomic sequencing or looking at historic data and looking for clinical signatures to identify, hey, this patient's already potentially at risk of having some form of disease, then as a result of that, survival ship for patients massively improve.
