Most of you have probably already heard about our Patreon,

but this is kind of our official introduction to what we're doing on Patreon.com

should care and what's happening with all of that so we've been doing this

podcast for a long time we have how how long are we at now? It's been almost six years. Wow.

And it's pretty unbelievable that I can say that. And we know we're almost a 300 episodes, which almost no other anime podcast can say.

You know, Patreon is an interesting thing for me since we discussed starting a Patreon page.

For those of you who don't know what Patreon is,

Patreon's a site that supports content creators.

So a long time ago, artists specifically

and musicians would have patrons and these were people who helped

support them by paying their day-to-day living expenses and so that way they had the freedom to create their art and give it into the world.

And this patron system, of course, went by the wayside with a lot of new media.

And this is a website that's designed to bring that back and that idea back of if you

love what someone creates to support them financially. And it's a weird thing because we've always said

that we weren't in this for the money and that podcasting for the money is a

foolish idea and things like that and I would still say we're not in it for the money.

I mean I think that the general the general belief by most podcasters is that in

general you can't really make a substantial amount of money or a living or anything like that.

Yeah.

Through podcasting of course unless it's some mass media type of topic like sports. And even then you get really lucky yeah but um you know at the
