impeachment report is finally out. Does it matter? All right, let's get to it. Happy Monday,

everyone. It is the week of the Democratic National Convention and all

eyes are in Chicago. The next four days will be full of history, spectacle, and a lot of big

speeches as we write in the top of Punchful News a.m. It is going to be a huge moment for the Democratic Party and the country.

So let's talk about that.

First of all, a woman of color will be formally nominated as a major party presidential

candidate for the first time.

President Joe Biden will symbolically hand off the title of head of the Democratic Party

to Vice President Kamala Harris,

signaling that his 50-plus years in politics are soon coming to an end.

Meanwhile, former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, both speaking this week,

are symbols of what Democrats once were, while Minnesota governor Tim Walts will step out onto the national

stage for the first time. Harris is certainly going into this convention with momentum.

There's some new polls out showing Harris has opened a narrow national lead over former

President Donald Trump, a dramatic turnaround for Democrats in

the last few weeks.
