Well, welcome to season one episode one of Bright hearth podcast.

My name is Brian Sovey,

and I am here with my lovely wife, Lexi Sovey, and our baby Winnie say hi. They'll probably hear her at some point.

She's kicking the mic. She's eating right now. She's at the mommy buffet. So we figured it would be appropriate for her to join us here

for episode one because the Brightheath podcast

is all about making productive homes.

It's about recovering the lost arts of home making

and the productive Christian household. Hence the name Bright hearth. We're trying to

make homes that would be warm and inviting and also bright as in think about Jesus in the

sermon on the mount when he's talking about what Christians are to be like in the

world they're to be like this city set on a hill.

It's all lit up with good works so that the nations would look and they would see our good works and

they would glorify our Father in heaven. And so much of those good works are related to the home.

They're going to come out of Christian homes that are walking in obedience to the Lord

Jesus that understand what those homes are for where they're pointed

amen Winnie that's right that's right you tell them

those homes are gonna understand what they're pointed at within the mission of God

what each member is for how they relate to each other, and really putting on

display the gospel picture that is the Christian family coming out of Christian marriages.
