So the beloved listener is probably wondering why we have so many people at the start of this podcast.

You may be aware that there is a refugee crisis happening. A humanitarian crisis has unfolded right on our doorstep.

And if you're anything like me, you're probably finding it hard to understand the complexities

of that issue, but you're also finding it very easy to feel powerless and perhaps even

overwhelmed by some of the images that you've seen.

And for me, particularly the way that some of the richest countries

have responded to that or not responded are found sort of really quite depressing. So we thought

we would gather together, I'm tempted to say experts. Do you guys consider yourself to be experts?

No.

No, no, no, no. That's really sort of reduce the confidence levels of our listeners, isn't it?

We've gathered together some people who may or mine may not have some informed opinions about the refugee crisis,

and we're going to have a bit of a chat with each one of them.

And then we're going to tell you about an exciting and creative opportunity for you to respond, which I'm very excited about.

So we can do four things. We're going to hear from Adele, then we're going to hear from Naomi,

then we're going to hear from David, and then our hope is you'll feel inspired to respond,

which will involve prising open your wallet, but you will be rewarded for that in very exciting and creative way.
