People don't want to talk about it a lot.

The word sin, like, well, I don't believe in sin.

Yeah, you do.

Everybody does.

Everybody knows the world is broken.

There's something that's gone horribly wrong here.

Well, it's weird, though, and where we get judgmental about stuff, and this is me too.

But Christians can certainly do this, and non-Christians can do this is when you think the sins of other

people outweigh yours like we get angry at the way you sin but the way we sin isn't as big a deal

you start to index things the reality is you're every bit as guilty as anyone you're frustrated

with anybody so that forces us to be humble?

It forces us to take sin and realize this is a real thing, and I have to deal with it myself.

If I'm going to get angry at it, guess where I'm going to start right here?

It's me.

That's the problem.

Everybody believes in sin.

We were noting that, and it's just so true. Because you'll note that even people who say, oh, I don't believe in sin, they've got rules, different ones. I was driving in Berkeley. My son goes to school at Cal Berkeley. They've got a whole different thing going on there. That is a culture all to itself. And you told me that. I told you. And then when I went there to visit your son with your family, I was like, wow. Yeah, a different deal. Yeah, this is different. So it's like they have a rule. My son lives in this house of a bunch of Christian guys. They go to Cal Berkeley. Smart dudes. They can't salsa dance. They have a dance. They had a dance last weekend okay but no salsa is allowed

because it's considered racist so it's wrong don't do it is a wrong thing to do salsa dancing is

wrong okay they have another rule well i saw like on a stop sign somebody had plastered underneath

it says stop but somebody had put eating animals oh because that's wrong's wrong. Because that's wrong. So they have it, it's just different stuff. But everybody knows there's such a thing is right and there's such a thing as wrong. The question is, will I hold myself to the same standard they hold other people? That's good. I love what Timothy Keller said. He said, if you made a list, if everybody made a list of things that they had said over their own lifetime, like people ought to, or they shouldn't, or they should, or things you got frustrated with other people about. And that was your moral code. You didn't even live up to that. That's true. If you made just a list of things that Sherry got upset about, Sherry's done that stuff. Same thing with Brant.

The reality is we're all broken.
