All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is John Buck.

I'm along with my co-worker George Bianchi.

We are motorsports writers here at the Athletic.

And we are here to talk about the Homestead race, which was damn good.

That was a nice surprise.

I don't know.

I was going to say surprise.

No, it's not a nice surprise. I guess that's what we expect at a homestead. But it was a nice, nice, uh, surprise. I don't know, I was going to say surprise. No, it's not a nice surprise.

I guess that's what we expect at a homestead.

But it was a, it was a very pleasant day of good racing.

Um, I guess there were surprises throughout the field, certainly.

But Jordan, I mean, man, this was, uh, this was a good race right there.

This was a good race right there. This was fantastic. This was what you want to see on a mile and a half racetrack.

You saw comers and goers.

You saw guys struggle early that came back late.

You saw guys look dominant early and they faded.

You saw lots of passing, lots of side-by-side racing.

I know Byron, you know, kind of pulled away at the end there,

but you still had moments where guys were able to catch, run down and catch and then pass guys. There's tire management. This was exactly what

you want to see in a mile and a half racetrack, exactly what we expect to see at Homestead.

And this was terrific. This was a great race. I really enjoyed it. And, you know, it just goes to
