And today's episode feels like a perfect fit in a number of ways. For starters, we've been discussing mystery cults on our core episodes of stuff to blow your mind,

and the concept of an imagistic religion has been key to our discussions there.

Infrequent high sensory rites of passage.

And I feel like today's film matches up with that concept on a couple of levels.

Furthermore, to understand we potentially have more eyes on the podcast feed this week, and it seemed

proper to maybe lean a little more into science fiction. Plus, we've also been saving this one

for a week when we had maybe a little less time.
