All right. Good. Well, hi everybody. My name is Fraser Kane. I'm the publisher of Universe Today.

This week we are of course going to be talking about the successful flight of SpaceX's Dragon capsule.

We're going to be talking about manned missions to Venus, nomadic planets and the announcement of the square kilometer array.

But first, while we can sort of get any more brain cells left from Allen Boyle before he collapses from overreporting.

Let's talk about the successful landing of the SpaceX's Dragon.

Well, Frazier, I don't think I'm alone in being sleep deprived or kind of excited about how this all turned out.

If you've been following the tweet stream, you know that after more than a week in space, the Dragon spacecraft by SpaceX returned today in a picture perfect splashdown from its mission to the International Space Station.

And it was the first commercial visit to the space station, also the first US craft to visit the space station since the retirement of the shuttle fleet last year.

And it's also the first commercial craft to return something from orbit, something like 1,300 pounds of cargo that was loaded aboard the craft and came down with the splashdown.

So there's really not too much you can say beyond what the press kid said would have happened because it was really a picture perfect descent and splashdown from orbit.

A lot of people were saying when they saw those three parachutes pop up from the capsule and saw the capsule coming down, it really was a throwback to the days of Apollo.

And who knows, maybe this is going to be a new age. We're going to be seeing a lot more of those parachutes over the next few years.

SpaceX has a $1.6 billion contract to do 12 cargo flights like this to the space station.
