| 1:09.0 | But before we get into that, just a reminder, an asteroid is going to swing right past the Earth today and not kill us all. |
| 1:18.0 | So for anyone who's wondering about this, there's an asteroid called 2012 LZ1. |
| 1:25.0 | And it's going to be passing very close to the Earth about 3.35 million miles away, which is about 14 times as distance between the Earth and the Moon. |
| 1:36.0 | So not very close at all. In fact, recently we've had asteroids have come within a fraction of the distance between the Earth and the Moon. |
| 1:43.0 | It's all still safe. So if you see a lot of news about this event, it's very far away. |
| 1:48.0 | That's pretty common, isn't it? 14 times the distance the Earth of the Moon? |
| 1:53.0 | It's a big area. It's a really big volume. |
| 1:56.0 | So yeah. |
| 1:57.0 | Yeah, that happens quite a bit. |
| 1:58.0 | I mean, I know we get a couple every year that pass within the Earth and the Moon. |
