Hi, it's Nancy. This week I have been reading a book of articles from our church,

Christchurch, and Norcross that's entitled Our Story, the first 25 years. And it's a

collection of lead articles that were written by our priest and my dear friend, our dear friend.

Joel Hudson, who is now 90 years old and nearing the end of his life. So it's been a wonderful,

wonderful thing to review the articles from 25 years when we served together at Christchurch.

I was there for a part of the time on the clergy staff and then other times as a parishioner.

But our whole family really grew up there spiritually and it's been such a blessing to have

that and to have that community of faith and the wonderful people that were there that were all

our extended family. But I want to share an article with you today from November 1993.

And it's when I became the director of Rainbow House, which was a ministry of the church

for homeless families with children. We had bought a, not bought, rented a small duplex in downtown

Norcross where the church was located and they had begun to move in families for a month or two

at a time that were homeless. And those two families would stay there for what little time

they were allowed and would try to get their lives back together. But as word got out,

more and more people started to apply and the church realized that this was much bigger than

the church. The parish could handle. So they appointed me, Joel appointed me to be the director

of Rainbow House. And I want to share this article and just a little bit of what it means to me now.

Nancy is well known to many of you as a longtime member of Christ Church. She has been very active

here, particularly in the Bethel Bible teachers, art displays and overall interior design programs,

youth work, and special events coordination of two celebrations, 1989 and 1992.

This new ministry is a little different direction for Nancy, but it fits into her vision and could
