It is time for the weekly pep talk and this honestly might be one of my favorite ones

0:03.8

my mom has done because I don't know if she's getting the hang of it I feel like

0:07.0

only took her two years. I don't know, I just feel like she was passionate about the topic today.

0:11.7

Talking about how we're way more different, I mean, we're way more

0:15.0

seamless as she does. We're way more similar than we are different and like taking the

0:18.8

time to realize that about each other. These are just five minutes or so little pep talks

2:08.4

tenets of love and peace and doing good in the world, but how we differ as human beings

2:16.9

based on where we were born, what country we came from, what our experience has been,

2:23.9

and we're also unique in our being. And that so often conflicts come because we don't recognize

2:37.2

and appreciate the differences and not only our religions, but in each other. One of the things

2:45.6

that was most meaningful to me in my experience with homeless families at Rainbow Village

2:55.8

was learning to listen to their plight, learning to try and understand where they had been,

3:08.8

where they came from, what their life experience had been that would have brought them to this place
