Being a high school football star, a college football star, winning a championship,

marrying a girl from a relationship that started at a country music concert,

being your own boss, and now being a dad to a baby boy, is the American dream.

And our weekend guest, Travis Tannanhill, is currently living that dream.

The former Kansas State tied in owns his own business and is a mortgage and insurance broker.

He also works as a broadcaster on game days for the Wildcats.

In Aletha native, Travis was a quarterback at Aletha East until an elbow injury changed his

football plans.

He played three different positions his senior year at East.

He was a tight end, a defensive back, and yes, a punner.

This was all under head coach Jeff Myers and Alethe East with Travis Tannihill

went on to win three straight district championships

before Travis committed to K-State and head coach Ron Prince in 2008.

Tannahill would go on to play for four years under Bill Snyder and his second go around

as head coach in Manhattan.

In 2012, Travis received first team

all Big 12 honors, and the cats went on to reach number one in the country and winning the
