Welcome friends, you're watching Weekends. I'm Anna Casparian, joined by my fantastic

0:19.8

co-host, Nando Villa. Nando, we have an awesome show ahead for everyone. I'm really looking

0:26.5

forward to your segment. It's going to be so good to your segment. Yeah, yeah, from the New York

0:34.6

Times ever. Not a big deal. No, not a big deal. I'm really looking forward to interviewing her. I've

0:41.8

been wanting to, you know, interview her for a while now, and this is the perfect opportunity

0:46.6

to do it. So she's going to come on to talk a little bit about how awful Governor Andrew Cuomo is.

0:53.0

He's now embroiled in a giant scandal regarding the suppression of data,

0:59.4

regarding coronavirus deaths in nursing homes. So she's going to help us break that down and, you

1:04.4

know, figure out what's going on, figure out what the hell is going on. And Texas is in a lot of

1:31.2

commission in order to investigate the rights that took place in the nation's capital on January

1:37.0

6. But before we get to that Nando, Ted Cruz, I know everyone's talking about it. And I wanted

1:43.7

to get your thoughts because Ted Cruz did what you would expect Ted Cruz to do, abandon his

1:49.3

constituents, abandon the state of Texas when it's in the middle of a terrible crisis,

1:54.2

and vacation in Cancun. And then when he got caught, he just ran back home and pretended like

1:59.8

all he was doing was trying to be a good father. He just dropped in his kids off and then he was

2:05.0

going to come right back. Yeah, it reminded me of kind of like a throwback political scandal.

2:12.8

Like it just like it feels like a very political scandal from back in the day when this kind of

2:17.0

thing probably would have sank his career. You know, like this is the kind of thing that ended

2:21.3

other careers. I remember, who was the governor that like disappeared for a while and went to,
