The Brothers and sisters comrades and friends welcome to weekends. I am your host Nandovila and I'm joined as always with Anik Hesperian and a remarkable thing happened yesterday.

We were doing T. Y.T. We were dunking on Charlie Kirk. We were

having a lot of fun and then we got a bit of breaking news live on the air. What happened?

Right, so news broke that Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Supreme Court Justice, died at the age of 87.

She died from pancreatic cancer, and she had battled cancer five times prior to her passing.

So, you know, she was a fighter and she wanted to work

as long as humanly possible on the Supreme Court.

I know there's a lot of critique toward her decision

to do that, which we can talk about in a little bit.

But her granddaughter spoke to the press soon after news broke and said that there was one wish that

Justice Ginsburg had and here's the direct quote.

My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.

And so, you know, I think it's important to have a conversation about whether her wish can even

come to fruition,

because the fact of the matter is the Republican Party

understands power.

They will do anything and everything necessary

to utilize the power they have and accumulate more of it.

And more importantly, Republicans control the Senate.

And so all the professional well-paid commentators who are putting out tweets about how, oh my God,

these Republicans are so hypocritical because of what happened to Merrick Garland, which was of course Obama's Supreme Court nominee

who was blocked by Senate Republicans.
