Hello and welcome to White Wine Question Time, where for this episode, I'm handing the reins over to one of you.

0:10.9

I've decided that after seven years and more than 500 episodes, you are such a huge part of our community that I wanted to give you an opportunity to put some of your own thought-provoking

0:22.0

questions to one of our guests. So let's pick up where we left off on the last episode with the

0:27.7

incredible Hermione Norris, an incredible leading lady and actress who's ready now to take,

0:33.8

well, Michelle's question from North London.

0:46.1

My third question for you, which is coming from a listener.

0:48.4

Her name's Michelle and she's 54.

0:54.0

And she is a single mother of two, a full-time worker, and about to be an empty nester, right? And she says of you,

0:56.6

you speak with unadulterated love about your children, Wilf and Hero. Arguably, I would say

1:03.1

your role as their mother is the one that you revel in more than any other. Now that your

1:08.6

kids are both adults, has that changed things for you as you step

1:11.9

into the next chapter of parenting? Being a mother to adults, I'd imagine also either in menopause

1:18.2

or in perimenopause, which is no emotional picnic. I'm there too. It's a huge step change

1:23.9

and I've found myself feeling such a mixed bag of emotions help how are you navigating

1:29.9

the same changes. Oh, Michelle. There's a lot, isn't it? Yeah, it's a lot. It's all that I've been

1:36.2

talking about really. It is that thing of who am I, what am I? If I'm not a mum, if I'm not in

1:42.5

that role, if I'm not this, if I'm not that, who am I? What do I want? Who do I want to be? What do I want? What do I need? Where do I want to be? How do I want to be? Who do I want to be? Because it's, from the moment those little people, you feel them flutter in your tummy, it's all about them, isn't it?

2:02.7

And also, you go to the bottom of every list.

2:05.8

You just do.

2:06.4

Yeah, it's not about you anymore.

2:07.7

And it's not that anybody pushes you there.

2:09.7

You put yourself there.
