a county counsellor, and it turns out a man who's managed to make music that's landed on Mars.

And now it's time for me to sit back and let you do some of the hard work.

And we pick up with listener Ellie Lazaridis, who has a question, Dave.

Hi, Dave. I think it's fair to say that you have had a very rich and varied career outside of music, whether that is

becoming a solicitor, going into politics, becoming a pilot, having an amateur radio license,

going into computer animation. So my question for you is, what hobby or interest has alluded you? Or what have you always wanted to try and haven't yet got around to?

Good question. Yeah, that is a good question. I mean, if I fancy having a go at something, I have a go at it in general.

The thing that I dream of, though, is I dream of being able to jump on a horse,

ride over a hill, tie the horse up to a tree, take my pack lunch out of the saddlebags,

and sit under the tree.

And I don't quite dare to do that.

But there is, you know, I used to ride when I was a kid.

And, but it all seemed, all seemed so high then, didn't seem so far from the ground.

And sometimes I've tried it as an adult.

It's like, oh my God, I'm going to climb on the back of an animal.

And it's carrying me around.

What an insane thing to do.

But I would, I'd love to get, I'd love to kind of push through that,

get through the terror of it to the point where I'm completely confident in the saddle

and then could, as I say, ride out into a field, tie the horse up and pour myself a delicious

coffee and eat to plowman's lunch. That would be so wonderful. What a wonderful way to spend
