I'm joined on the other end of the line back in North Carolina. He's a global traveler in the sense that he went from Las Vegas to North Carolina. He's a professional musician I recently learned. I didn't realize that I was in the, I guess, virtual presence of musical greatness, which is now what I'm saying about you. Oh, well, you're not, but I do play a guitar now and then I like to sing occasionally. If you're in the Charlotte area, then avoid any places where I'm doing that, is my advice.

First of all, I don't believe you, because I'm going to assume now that you have a very good voice and you can play that acoustic guitar. But more to the point for me, my wife is a classically trained pianist.

And when she plays like anything on the piano that is a song that I recognize, I think I've said this on the show before, but it genuinely seems like magic to me because I don't understand how music works in that way. So when she can read a sheet of like a bunch of symbols and like scribblings and then somehow it's like music that's recognizable to my ears, I'm sort of blown away. So knowing that you can do that as well, I'm equally impressed.

I'm glad I continue to impress you, Taylor. Thank you very much. You do. I learned something new about you every week, buddy. Speaking of penis, by the way, on my flight back this way, I watched

the movie Rocket Man. I've really enjoyed it. And one thing I will note from it, his mom is played by

Bryce Dallas Howard, Ron Howard's daughter. And she does, I think,

the best English accent from an American I've ever heard. Like, you know, British people doing

American accents in movies and TV's Ten a Penny, but going the other way around, there's not

many people who do it well, because you tend to end up like a, white governor, a bit like this.

But, um, Brasas Howard, she did a very good job. I'll tell you, the only other person I think who does an equally good job is Lake Bell. I don't know if you know the actress Lake Bell. Yeah. She's in, is it called Man Up? This is a movie with Simon Pegg. And she does a very, very authentic South London. Very good.

All right. I know Lake Bell. I like Bell. So that's good. Is it still the case that the gold standard of terrible English accents is Dick Van Dyke? Or has somebody else sort of taken a shot at that title? Don Cheadle comes pretty close in the Oceans. Oh, good. He does not need, his character does not even need to be British. It makes no sense. I think, as I recall, I read somewhere or saw in like a, maybe in a movies podcast or heard in a movie's podcast, that it was supposed to be a British actor. Like, maybe it was supposed to be like Jason Statham or somebody like that. And then he couldn't do it. So they were like, well, we'll just have Don Cheadle do the English part. And it did not work out. So you are Correct. That is a solid shout. But while we're talking... In the script, it said like before each line it said in English in brackets before it started, like English accent. So that's what Don Cheadle had to read in English accent? I, I, maybe. I hope not. Maybe he just, he wanted the acting challenge and... Oh oh my guys let's go and rob that casino yeah

this is a ruse that's what i figured in the same way that i insist that darrell is from Wisconsin. I'm just going to say that you're from both Carolina from now on. But you are an accomplished writer who has covered Manchester City, who lost the Manchester Derby, and that's where we're going to start. Man City won, Man United Two. That was a bit of a surprise. I'm going to assume the same for you, Ryan. Well, if you'd have read my betting preview pieces and a couple of pieces I wrote on Yahoo Sports last week, not so much of a surprise. I did predict that many others were going to take some points off of City in this one. Not least, Tate, with the knowledge that you will be fully aware of, that Manchester United tend to be raising their game against big six

teams, don't they? Obviously, they had a good performance against Lester as well. And it seems to be

this phenomenon of Oligone and Sussgold raising his game against the big teams. And maybe this

team being better suited to opponents who will take more of the possession and encouraging that

rapid counter-attacking style

that we saw in this game. And I think Manciti's style played into Solstka's hands.

And let's give a thumbs up straight away to Olegona Go to Solskia then, because he, he tactically

managed this one very well, and in the same way that he tactically managed the

uh the draw with liverpool very well in that you know he nullified the fullbacks in that one he
