Summary
On today's Weekend Review edition of The Total Soccer Show, Ryan Bailey and Graham Ruvthen cast an eye over four of the biggest matches from this past weekend—and analyze the Champions League Round of 16 draw:
0:00 - Champions League draw: Frank Lampard will have his biggest managerial test to date when Chelsea meet Atletico Madrid, while PSG face familiar foes Barcelona.
16.43 - Manchester Utd vs. Manchester City: Yes, this was a terrible game in which nothing really happened. But it revealed a lot about where both managers are at and how their teams will progress.
25.52 - Fulham vs. Liverpool: It’s not often that Fulham can face the reigning league champions and feel that a draw wasn’t enough. How Scott Parker’s side renewed their faith in staying up!
40.06 - Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid: Is there a team anywhere in the world that is better at performing when it counts than Real Madrid? Zinedine Zidane’s side topped off a magnificent week with a statement win in El Derbi.
52.14 - Borussia Dortmund vs. Stuttgart: BVB manager lost his job after his team lost their way against newly promoted Stuttgart. What went wrong for Dortmund? Just about everything.

| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Total Soccer Show weekend review edition where we'll provide a firm grasp on the important matches from the weekend. |
| 0:27.6 | That grasp being at least as firm as the one Granite Jack had on Ashley Westwood's neck. |
| 0:33.4 | I'm Ryan Bailey and joining me today as someone who hopefully save me from my shoddy weekend |
| 0:38.3 | analogies like a Crystal Palace goalkeeper, saving them Tottenham shots. Graham Rudden, |
| 0:43.1 | how are you, sir? I'm not bad, Ryan. How are you? |
| 0:46.5 | Very good indeed. Thank you. All the better of having you join me on this wonderful Monday. |
| 0:51.4 | Graham, you've had quite a weekend. You've done a big thing, haven't you? |
| 0:54.8 | That's right. I've moved house. Saturday and Sunday was a little bit crazy for me. I'm not entirely sure where any of my belongings are. I don't know where any of my socks are. I'm wearing gloves on my feet as we speak right now. I'm not entirely sure I know where my daughter is. Maybe she's in one of these boxes around me. |
| 0:51.5 | But yes, I have a bed and a TV, |
| 0:54.0 | and as a football fan, that's I'm not entirely sure I know where my daughter is. Maybe she's in one of these boxes around me. |
| 1:31.8 | But yes, I have a bed and a TV and as a football fan. That's all I needed over the weekend. So it's all good. Bed and TV, yeah. I'm sure the glove and the daughters will turn up somewhere. You'll be fine with that. Don't worry. I don't like moving house. I don't think anyone likes moving house, Graham. The one nightmare I had when I did move house to the current location I'm in about three years ago, I had a saltwater fish tank, and that is really hard to move because it had live fish and live coral in it. |
| 1:38.9 | And the whole move went great, apart from the last thing to do was to get this fish tank out of the old house. So I get it with a friend helps me, and we carry it to the car, and we instantly crack the fish tank. Salt water going everywhere. It wasn't full, but the situation being that we were moving to a new house and I had a bunch of fish that had nowhere to live. It was a disaster. And do you keep the fish in the fish tank while you're moving it? Would there not have been a better idea to empty it and then put, I don't know, how do you transport fish? It's not a thing I've ever really thought about before. So the fish went and the fish in like the coral and stuff went in their own little buckets because if you actually picked up the tank with the water in it, it would just be far too heavy. And obviously, it would slosh around a bit in the car. So, yeah, we moved that. But obviously, the tank had a little bit of water in it. And the way we moved into the car was very dumb and we ended up cracking it. And it was one of the most regretful moments of my life. But I was very lucky that my local fish store took my fish for a little while until the new tank arrived. But it was, it was one of those very, very stressful moments. And I don't want to move again anytime soon. That's the moral of this story. I don't have a fish tank, but I did have a million football shirts that I was shouting at my wife. Don't drop those. Don't drop those. Those are precious. Those are from the 90s, early 90s, seria shirts with rare sponsors, seven up for Argentina shirts and so on. Those were a great care was taking, moving those. Oh, you haven't gotten the Milan shirt with poo jeans on it, do you? No, i don't i don't that's one missing from the collection |
| 3:07.9 | i don't have any you need to solve that one um here's another question for you there because |
| 3:13.6 | whenever we move we tend to downsize and i have i don't think i've ever thrown out anything from my |
| 3:18.3 | football shirt collection but have you been tempted to downsize any of like your soccer stuff or |
| 3:23.2 | are you more of a more of a hoarder? |
| 3:25.7 | No, definitely a hoarder. I found a calendar from 2018 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle that they'd sent me. |
| 3:32.8 | I'm not an Inverness fan. They just sent me it for no reason at all really, but I kept it in my office. |
| 3:38.9 | And I decided that was coming with me again, for no reason at all just because it I kept it in my office. And I decided that was coming with me, again, |
| 3:41.0 | for no reason at all, just because, you know, it's football stuff. And that's what I do. I hoard it. Wonderful stuff. Well, we're going to be talking about some football stuff. Plenty of it in the next hour or so, Graham. Let's start off, though, the big game of the weekend from an MLS perspective, MLS Cup. |
| 3:38.2 | Columbus crew having a 3-0 route, I should say, over the Seattle Sounders, |
| 4:01.2 | even though they were without Pedro Santos and without Darlington Nagby, |
