They've gone after high-ranking military members who served in the government for plotting a

coup and committing crimes against democracy. Imagine living in a country as evolved as Brazil

that could do this. He denied all the claims, but remember, in 2022, he lost to the leftist president, Luis Sanacio Lula da Silva.

And he's been charged Bolsonaro with smuggling diamond jewelry into Brazil, with falsifying COVID-19 vaccination statuses.

He abused his authority to cast doubt on the country's voting system, and he's been banned from running again until 2030.
