It's the weekend edition of Kevin Keatsman has issues.

I'm Spencer Keatsman.

I also have issues, but I'm going to try not to exploit myself to all you guys right away. This is only the fourth time I'm doing this. Not many people have heard my thoughts or heard me on the radio. So, hey, this is a good chance for me to slowly let people inside my little world and all my issues.

A story time real quick about dad.

Another one, I don't know if I'm going to do this every week.

I just kind of, I was thinking about this week, and something kind of made me laugh.

So I was maybe 13 or 14 years old.

It was during a stretch where the Kansas City Royals were just absolutely

god-awful. They had that year in 03, I think, where they were in first place for the first

half of the season, and then the train sort of came off the tracks on that one. It was Tony

Panyan was the manager at the time. And then it followed with, I think, two straight years of 100 losses.

So I want to say it was 04 or 05. I was 14 or 15 years old. It was all of us as a family at the game.

They had a celebrities of softball home run derby of some kind after one of the games. I'm not quite

sure exactly what it was for. I don't remember that. But I do after one of the games i'm not quite sure exactly what it was for i don't remember

that but i do remember some of the people that were involved in it was you know jason whitlock

a lot of local media at the time was involved in this thing and then so it's my dad's turn to

step up to the plate and participate in this slow pitch home run derby.

They're literally lobbying these softballs up in the air.

I think they were hitting a softball bat, and they had this fence set up about, I don't know,

100 feet beyond the infield.
