But today, we are really seeing this to the whole doctrine and devotion crowd, in hopes

that you would be encouraged this weekend to look to Jesus Christ.

Today we are reading Proverbs chapter 12, verse 25.

It says, anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

How are you feeling?

How is your heart today?

Is it heavy?

When life is hard, our hearts can become heavy, weighed down with anxiety or fear or sorrow.

Being lost, confusion, hardship or persecution, slander, mocking, and so much more is often

times used by the devil to weigh you down.

In fact, you can feel this kind of discouragement even in your bones.

It says in Proverbs chapter 17, verse 22, a joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed

spirit dries up the bones.

When we are weighed down, we are overwhelmed with our circumstances, and like everyone

who is carrying extra weight, we tend to move slowly, lacking agility, and you are likely

to slip or trip.

Now, why does this happen?

Why in our circumstances do we wind up with a heavy heart when someone else encountering

the same difficulties?

Don't experience that.
