And so, Dr. Laura, what I'm going to bring up today is about my wife and I marriage.

Pretty much. I'm going to be honest with you. I know you need the other person to kind of know or have the sense of direction and above our marriage.

And I just want to be honest and upfront and tell you that we've been married for 16 years. We have three kids.

I have been struggling in the marriage because I am not a great husband and I know it.

Psychologically, I'm smart enough to accept the fact that I am not a great husband.

But the miserable part of our marriage or the biggest miserable part of our marriage is her having to constantly fight me about how I'm being with the kids or that I'm not being very loving.

Well, why don't you get help to be a better husband and dad? Why don't you get some professional help?

That's the thing I don't know where to look for that help.

Any therapist ask your physician, ask your attorney for a referral.

Okay. Okay.

Because if you're not going to get better, then she's stuck with having to complain.

If you're not getting better, what else can she do except leave you?

Well, here's the thing is that I do want to work at it.

But for men, it's a lot different. We don't like to really listen when our wife is complaining.

And although I do want to...

Okay, sir, you need to get some help to be a better husband and father. You said so. So get the help and she doesn't have to complain.

Okay. And you think I possibly can make it through this?

I don't know. You'll have to go into therapy and find out.
