Well, if it's not already apparent, Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth is over the target.

You did a pretty good rule of thumb.

Whenever the enemy, whenever your political opponents take to consistently and seemingly every week or maybe even every day, riding smear jobs and hit pieces against you, it means that what you're doing is not only fundamentally transformative, it's also making a mark for the future.

Well, that's the case with Pete Hegeseth.

Over the last few weeks, it seems like right on the dot every few days,

there's another smear job against him. The most recent, of course, was this report from the New York

Times that he apparently discussed details of the strike against the Houthis in Yemen. He discussed

those with family members and his own personal lawyer. That was the claim that the New York Times made.

Here is Secretary of Defense Hexeth at the White House yesterday addressing that most recent story.

You know, what a big surprise that a bunch of a few leakers get fired and suddenly a bunch of hit pieces come out from the same media that peddled the Russia hopes.

Won't get back their Pulitzer.

They got Pulitzer's for a bunch of lies.

Pulitzer's for a bunch of lies.

And on hoaxes, time and time and time again.

And as they peddle those lies, no one ever calls them on it.

See, this is what the media does.

They take anonymous sources from disgruntled former employees,

and then they try to slash and burn people and ruin their reputations.

Not going to work with me, because we're changing the Defense Department,

putting the Pentagon back in the hands of war fighters,
