Barry Switzer, Vince Young, SEC Legends, as it turns out, never wore the conference patch on their jersey a single time, but they were SEC legends all along.

What do you know? Well, we're jam-packed. We're high atop a still sunny downtown Nashville, Tennessee, because it is the middle of the day, Tuesday, October 22nd, the Year of Our Lord, 2004, proudly brought to you by Academy of Sports and Outdoors, cranked up the show a little early tonight. Why? Well, because we have a very, very busy night slash week ahead. I'll tell you about it. But I'm also going to tell you we got full week nine predictions. Nothing changes around here. We're predicting week nine. I'm even giving you the upset alert segment 48 hours ahead of time. We'd normally do that Thursday. We're going to do that tonight. And we'll still have a show Thursday. We're just going to do different things on that. The whole college football officiating thing, what a firestorm that is. You guys wouldn't believe how many coaches I heard from merely because we, well, we told the truth, I think, on the Sunday night show about the problems with college football officiating.

None of you are happy with it. I'm not happy with it. They're not happy with it. And these are

not people guarding the nuclear codes. Believe it or not, we are owed some answers and transparency

on this front. It is the entertainment business, after all. I got a new JP poll coming at you in, well, not a, it's a matter of minutes, just a few minutes. We've got a jam-packed show. They're watching us in Jacksonville, Alabama, Manchester, New Hampshire, Abilene, Texas, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Listen to this. Flying up to New York City after the show in a little while, we'll be over the next four days, we'll be doing some stuff in New York City.

alert a little bit later on. What kind of alert scale should I put on that one? What kind of

number should I put on that one? In the meantime, it is Thursday and that means, or it's Tuesday,
