It is a Friday edition, which means we are picking games against the spread.

But first, we've got to talk about a little bit of news.

Our friend Nicole Auerbach, who you will hear later picking games, is at the college football playoff meetings in Dallas.

And those meetings wrapped on Thursday without a resolution about whether the new

playoffs format is going to start in 2024.

But Nicole, it sounds like they're not giving up on that idea.

No, they're not.

And that's notable. You know, we're sort of like pressing the different commissioners and executive director Bill Hancock afterwards being like, all right, but like really what did you get done? Because they haven't really had anything tangible. They can't come out. They haven't come out and said, okay, here's the start date. And, you know, it's going to be December 12th or whatever, you know, 2024. They haven't done that. So one of them, John Steinbecker had a pretty interesting comment. And like, you know, we asked, what was the most notable thing you guys accomplished? And he said that we're like continuing to push through this. Like, it's very notable that they decided that they still believe they have time,

even though that window is closing for 2024,

and they think that they can get this done.
