Welcome, everybody, the score fantasy football podcast.

I'm your host, Justin Boone.

We have a lot of new listeners. So for anyone who hasn't

been with us all season, I'm the lead fantasy analyst at the score, and I've finished in the top

10 of Fantasy Pro's most accurate expert competition five of the last six years. And I'm joined by

my co-host and supervising editor at the score, David P. Woods. And Woods is a man who seemed perplexed

today and maybe all week by the Jaguars organization. It's been quite the week for Jacksonville.

They traded a pick to get a veteran running back in Carlos Hyde, going out and getting absolutely

destroyed and controlled by the Texans on Sunday.

And then reports that there was a heated argument in the locker room after the game.

Woods, what is going on with the Jags?

Well, you might have buried the lead here.

They also benched their starting quarterback today, which is a pretty significant development.

I'm just perplexed by this team.

It seems like they're just bad again. This isn't all fantasy relevant stuff, but it just doesn't make sense to me why you trade for Carlos Hyde. They gave up a fifth round pick. They seemed willing to do that when really, I mean, the best case scenario for them here is that Hyde starts for a few weeks, and then Leonard Fornett comes back healthy and he's clearly going to be the guy there but i mean Hyde didn't even play this week that makes perfect sense because he's not going to be able to learn the playbook in a matter of a couple days and play but they're willing to trade for Hyde but they're not willing to trade for a quarterback to push Blake Bortle's and they I don't get it they they gave Blake Bortle's a big contract for reason. They were basically bidding against themselves. This is a franchise that just everybody had high expectations for them going into the season, and they're just wayward right now, and it's pretty bad. It seems like there's so much talent there that they're going to be able to figure it out, though. I would be shocked. I mean, we've seen this happen with Bordles before. We've seen him get

benched before and we've seen them sort of move forward and he comes back. It's not like he's a guy that they're, you know, asking him to carry the offense most weeks anyway. The weeks that he does carry the offense, it ends up being a little bit of a surprise, I feel. It's going to be interesting to see, though, you know, the reports that Fournette's going to be out through their bye week.

So he's not going to be back until week 10. It's going to be interesting to see when he gets back, what's going to happen in that backfield with Carlos Hyde, with him, with Yeldon, who didn't do that much today. He ended up catching a touchdown. But it's going to be very interesting to see. I still think Fournette is going to be the guy there, and Hyde's going to emerge as, you know, more of the secondary runner. It's going to be three guys, and maybe they don't want to give Fournett a full workload anymore because they're just so sick of him getting hurt all the time. I think holding out the possibility that Fornet just doesn't come back this season. I'm not sure they make that trade for Hyde unless there's some chance that Fornett's hamstring just isn't going to be right. And, you know, maybe in a few weeks he goes on IR. I think there's a chance of that. Obviously, the Jaguars don't want that, and they still see themselves as a possible playoff team, so want four net healthy in january rather than in

october but i really don't understand that trade a reminder to everybody out there if you like
