What's up, everyone? Matt here. Obviously, we had a huge piece of breaking news come down late Thursday night.

Well, after we taped this week seven preview podcast, the San Francisco 49ers are trading a second, third, and fourth round pick in the 2023 NFL draft and a fifth rounder in the next year's draft for Panther star running back Christian McCaffrey. This is huge.

It's a bombshell. Obviously, Chris McAfee is one of the best players at his position in the

entire NFL. He was one of the first three players off the board in basically every fantasy draft.

And he's pretty much been what we expected this year. You know, he has been, obviously not at his peak

ceiling in that miserable Panthers offense, but he's been a rock solid running back one in fantasy

football this year. You know, going to the 49ers, it's an interesting one because I think I can

talk myself in a couple of directions here, right? Like off the cuff, your touchdown odds are going to be better in San Francisco.

That offense has been good.

It's been efficient for the most part this year, even if there have been a couple hiccups along the way with Jimmy G, you know, getting back under center there, everything that we typically know with the Jimmy G experience.

But much, much better offensive environment there in San Francisco

than you're going to get in Carolina.

That is just about the stone worse.

And we'll come back to Carolina here in a second.

Sticking in San Francisco on McCaffrey right now,

you know, I think that McCaffrey probably still remains among the top four or five running backs

in fantasy football rest of season rankings.

I don't think you're really adjusting expectations because the rushing ecosystem is really,

really good in San Francisco. The touchdown odds are obviously better in San Francisco than they

would be in Carolina. But the biggest question for me is what happens to his passing game role?

We know he's going to play a ton of snaps, obviously,

that you don't trade. This is a huge haul, right? Like, this is not some little, uh, trade here.
