| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy Football Show. |
| 0:15.0 | My name is Danny Huy and Craig Horlebeck, and we are going to preview week six of the NFL season. |
| 0:20.7 | So we're about to be one-third of the way through the NFL calendar, which doesn't really hit the same way as saying a quarter or half, but it's true. One third of the way, which is already really weird. We're going to go through all the games for week six. First, shameless plug, please subscribe to our channel on YouTube. DK Pop Quiz. | 0:57.0 | Craig is here recording with us and you just did an episode with the town with Matthew Bellany which is the show you produced and you just said you had Ari Emanuel on the town this week? Yes, Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro. Ari is the founder of WME. His title, he's like nine titles. Doesn't matter. He's the real life inspiration for Ari Golden Entourage. Yeah, it's number one and number two at the most powerful agency in the world, which I guess is up for debate with CIA. It's one of the best, most kind of entertaining episodes we've ever done. It came out on Thursday, October 9th. So whenever you're listening to this, I would go listen to it on the town. It was great. That is crazy. Okay. So we're going to go through all the games. Check that episode out too. We're going to go through starting with the game of the year of the week. Yeah. Sunday night football. Usually Sunday football toward the end of this episode, but I think this is so clearly the best game. Lions are at Kansas City this week. This is awesome. This is, these are, I feel like we get Chief's bills every year, |
| 1:47.8 | sometimes twice a year. Lions Chiefs is also just an amazing game that we don't get as much. It was week one a couple seasons ago, but Lions Chiefs is just, this is, I feel like we're being spoiled with this as an entrant student football compared to like Falcons Vikings a few weeks ago. Like this is actually pretty epic. I know. It's funny how good it can be and how bad it can be in the NFL. Like it's, you can just pair the right teams together and every Sunday night can be entertaining. Yeah, this is an awesome game. Dare I say a must win to use a Bill Simmonsism for the Chiefs. |
| 2:19.1 | Chiefs are two and three. Lions are four and one. I'm more interested in the Chiefs in this to talk |
| 2:24.4 | about. I think the Lions are good and I think we know that the loss of the seven coaches has at least |
| 2:30.0 | for now not made a big enough impact to make a huge difference in the team. Like the offense is still great. They're second in points per drive this year. So like the lions are doing great. But I think what's more interesting is that I don't know what it is, but I think the narrative on I guess it's because they're two and three. But I feel like, you know, people think this is a down year for the chiefs. And I actually think they're slightly underrated. I don't know how you guys feel. But like, like I said, the lions were second in points per drive this year. The chiefs are fifth. And I'm kind of like, honestly, they've just been losing close games. And it's the opposite of what happened last year when they were, they went like 14 and 1 in close games or whatever it was. Like they're just losing close games this year. |
| 3:08.2 | But I don't know. |
| 3:09.1 | I'll ask you, D.K., |
| 3:10.2 | do you think watching the Chiefs this year has actually felt a little different than the past two years, which is weird because the Chiefs made the Super Bowl the last two years and the offense was kind of anemic? I actually feel like they're moving the ball better this year. Yeah, I would say that's definitely been the case the last couple of weeks. |
| 3:24.9 | Maybe they started out kind of sluggish to start the season, but then ever since, I don't know, the last couple of weeks, it does, it does feel like they're moving the ball a little bit better. I do think Xavier Worthy matters for them and like helps them, gives them some team speed because that, that was like the main concern I had early on in the season is they just don't have very much team speed. This is just a slow offense. The running backs are all slow. They're starting to incorporate Rashad Smith into their offense a little bit. He looks good. He gives them a little bit of a dynamic, you know, out of the backfield pass catching type threat. Like I said, Xavier Worthy gives them that stretch the field, both vertically and horizontally. |
| 3:59.4 | They're using him on like jet sweeps and things like that. |
| 4:02.4 | I think they're going to be even better once Rishi Rice gets back, obviously. |
| 4:06.9 | Which is next week. |
| 4:08.1 | Yeah. |
| 4:08.4 | And then the other thing I think that's like a big factor this year is Mahomes is running. |
