Welcome to a good football shows week five recap pod.

My name is PacRain and I'm about to be joined by the entire MVC sports edge team that

covered the games for us today. Getting that context that you're not going to be able to see just

from looking at the box score. Hoping me get that context as I haven't had a chance to watch

every single one of these games. So I'm able to take a look at what happened and see how it happened.

See what we trust. See what happened in garbage time and we can completely write off what happened

that we weren't expecting at all like Khalil Herbert being a major factor in the Russian game for

the Bears. Learning about Justin Fields if there's any kind of plan for him or not. And all of the

other type of context that's going to be really important for helping us understand what happened

in week five. Let's get to the games. The Falcons defeated the Jets 27 to 20 in a game where the

Jets put up zero points in the first quarter as they have done in every game this season. Chris

Allen, we had to wake up early. Was it worth it? I mean waking up early for a Jets game. Was it

worth it? Probably not. But at least it was mildly entertaining with seeing Matt Ryan get Kyle

pits involved early and often throughout the game. I'm for everybody that was roster and Kyle

pits. We knew with Calvin Ridley not being a part of the game plan. Russell Gage also being out.

Pits will be thrust into the forefront of the Falcons passing attack. And that's exactly what

happened. We led the team in targets wound up getting into the paint this week. So yeah, at least

from that standpoint for anybody that was rostering a Kyle pits, you got what you expected out of

him. And then for the Jets, it's just more of a I guess confusing and somewhat I guess demoralizing

start for them yet again in week five. Yeah, let's start with pits because it was a career day for

the rookie 10 targets nine receptions 119 yards and a touchdown. I believe Coral Patterson was

kind of in and out of the game, but it would make sense with with Ridley out here that they would
