We're talking right before we started recording about how this day just felt like it was going to be a really good day with everything really because we saw Alex Smith return to the field which is just a really fantastic moment.

0:40.5

And then shortly before we started recording, Dak Prescott suffered an injury looked likely like a season ending injury and it just put a damper on the entire day.

0:51.1

It really did it just made me sad real sad because it's like the human element behind this deck obviously lost his brother went through depression this off season was holding out trying to get a long term contract worked out with the cowboys they were unwilling to give them the money that he wanted.

1:04.1

And he said you know what I'll just play this year under the franchise tag and I'm willing to I'm not going to hold out I'm going to play under it and I'm going to earn that long contract and to see him start off on like a record setting pace and then have this happen.

1:15.1

It's heartbreaking for the guy.

1:17.1

It really sucks and it was gruesome if you're watching it is really terrible, but it was I mean, how great was it to see Alex Smith like I mean absolutely incredible just the fact that he threw a pass in the national football league was really one of the most remarkable convex stories that I've ever.
