How is everything on your end there? Oh, we're good. We're good. Keeping busy. I see we're right in the middle of baseball swing. We both have our football sweatshirts on right now. Yeah, right. But it's just, it's just warm enough, I mean, cold enough still, though still wear a sweatshirt. We're not going to be able to wear a sweatshirt very long, so I'm leaning in as far as I can.

Yeah, for sure. But no, good weekend, lots of sports. Maddie Fitzpatrick's my season-long golf team. So that was fun. That was a heck of a tournament. That shot he hit on the third playoff hole was. my god ridiculous yeah that was awesome i thought speed had made both putts in the first two playoff

holes to win but uh yeah that was that was nice for you right there you know it sure was uh so that

was good uh NBA playoffs have been bonkers uh baseball uh but this is a baseball podcast so let's

focus on the things that hurt me the most

uh alec minoa is not very good right now and it really hurts to say that but uh and i don't know

i i was we spent some time texting each other about him and you don't have them at least so

this is all theoretical for you but for for me, I have to decide.

Do you bench him this week or not? Yeah. The important part about that is he's got one start. It's against Houston. Right. Oh, no, it's at New York, right? It's at New York. No, I thought it was the other way. I thought it was Houston. They play Houston the first half of the week. Oh, they do the first half.

Well, at Newark is not really a, yeah, not really much of a much of a better. Against Garrett Cole, no less, too, by the way. So the wind's out, out the window. But yeah, you asked me, I mean, it's so hard because in the obvious dumb answer is well it depends on you start instead of them but in a 15

teamer which is what you're asking me about, I think I kind of told you, I wish I had enough options to bench him, but I would find it hard to believe that I have enough options to feel pretty good benching him. I think I'm probably throwing them out there. You mentioned to me that the velocity was up early in the game today. But they had a really good start against Kansas City, but the walks are what's concerned to me right now. Yeah. And here's the thing, too. When he dials up the velocity, the control, the command goes. I think it's, I think it's 13 walks the last three starts, which is, which is rough right there. Yeah. It is. It's really rough. 16 to 15K to walk so far this season. I think that's K percentage and walk percentage. Not K to walks, but close. I mean, it's percentages. It's not great, Bob. Not great. It's not. And the walks are weird. I mean, it was a six and a half percent walk guy last year.

And maybe you might be right. He might should be just ramping it up and struggling and getting guys on base and trying to, trying to ramp it up.

and then he throws, you know, throws balls up there.
