| 0:00.0 | Welcome everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. |
| 0:16.8 | I'm your host, Justin Boone. |
| 0:18.5 | And on yesterday's episode, I did say that I probably wouldn't record a Friday show because my schedule is so crazy. But I had that feeling in the pit of my stomach. I didn't want to miss it. So here we are. I'm doing it after all. And I'm going to try to make it quick. So I might not hit on all the guys I normally would. I might not go too far down the rankings. I'm also recording this on Friday morning, so we don't have all the practice reports and the final injury designations to go off of. But I'm going to give you my thoughts on where all the injuries stand around Friday at 11 a.m. Eastern, and you'll get a lot more information than I have right now. But I'll tell you what I think is going to happen and how you should progress with your fantasy squad. |
| 1:11.5 | So let's get to it here, starting with quarterbacks. Anthony Richardson back to full practices this week. He's going to get cleared. He's going to return to the Colts lineup. And if you have him, he should be in your lineup too. This guy was the QB4 overall in week one. and then he was on his way to that huge game in week two before he got forced out with the concussion, and still he finished as the QB19 that |
| 1:16.7 | week, and he only played 32% of the snap. |
| 1:19.0 | So even though the Rams aren't the greatest matchup, Richardson is basically locked in as a top |
| 1:24.5 | 10 quarterback each week, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he finishes as a top five fantasy quarterback this year I also expected jimmy gropolo is going to clear |
| 1:32.1 | concussion protocol and play he sat out practice on wednesday but he was back on thursday and as long as |
| 1:38.1 | there's no setbacks on friday he's on track to be out there this week and he's only a qb2 option for |
| 1:43.5 | fantasy but it is a pretty |
| 1:44.9 | good matchup with the chargers and from what i saw the total on that game it stayed high all week so the expectation has been that jimmy jimmy would play and that's great news for devante adams and for jacobo mire's i would fire them both up this week for sure joe burrow he managed to survive that Monday nighter and he's been full practices all week. So he's going to continue to play |
| 2:04.5 | through that calf injury. And if he can avoid another aggravation, it should get better |
| 2:09.2 | little by little. And until we see otherwise, I would expect that it's going to be a dialed |
| 2:14.2 | down version of that offense like we had on Monday night. So that kind of limits Bur outlook and it caps the upside for a lot of his teammates even in a good matchup through the air against the Titans I have a hard time putting them where they normally would be in the ranks now Jemar chase they showed us that they're going to find ways to scheme him up and get the ball in his hands and maybe he can still get there on volume like he did last week. |
| 2:35.2 | So he's still a wide receiver one. |
| 2:50.7 | But T. Higgins a little bit further down the rankings and Burroughs more of a QB2 this week, a high end QB2 based on that matchup, but still a QB2. And in a regular week, if he was going against the Titans and he was healthy, he would be up in the top five of my rankings, I'm sure. |
| 2:53.8 | Deshawn Watson, he's been limited in practice this week with a right shoulder issue he threw some light passes on Thursday the expectation |
| 2:58.3 | right now is that he's going to be able to play this week it's not the best |
| 3:01.2 | matchup versus the Ravens and Watson is hard to trust on a regular day so he's |
| 3:05.7 | more of a fantasy QB2 as well Bryce Bryce Young, he's expected to return from his ankle injury. Good matchup against the Vikings. Hopefully we see him cut it loose a little bit more this week. The fact that it's not Andy Dalton is a slight downgrade for the passing game. For all Dalton's faults, he is a competent veteran. He got things moving last week for guys like Adam Thieland and DJ Chark. I'm hopeful that Young is going to improve, but at the moment, he really knocks those wide outs down a little bit. And that's unfortunate to say, but it is the truth. And then Derek Carr, he's been DNP in practice all week. He's likely going to be out for a game or two at that right shoulder issue and that means we're going to get james winston against his old club the box so should be fun if nothing else but if you're taking your chances and starting winston in this game as a qb2 or super flex that's a risk that i don't know that i'm willing to take it's where he's going to be in my rankings for sure, but man, I've seen so many James games where he's imploded. I think with the weapons there in that Saints offense, he deserves to be a low end QB2 and you can start him as such, but it's always a roller coaster ride with James. Over to running backs, Austin Echler. He was rumored to be out until after their week five by dealing with that ankle sprain. |
| 4:15.7 | And maybe that's still going to be the case, but he's gotten in two limited practices so far this week. |
| 4:20.3 | It's all going to come down to Friday now because he said earlier in the week that if he gets a full practice in, he's probably going to play. |
