The Jets take on the Denver Broncos this Sunday at MetLife Stadium, kickoff time 1 p.m. Eastern. It's a chance for the Jets to start 3 and 1.

And when the schedule came out, I think that the over under for the Jets, the conventional wisdom,

was that this team probably should start 3 and 1. I think most of us had the game week one against

San Francisco, penciled in as a loss. But weeks two, three, and four, Tennessee,

New England, Denver, all winnable games, two of them at home. The Jets have a chance to get off

to a great start this season. And I think that sometimes in the NFL, things can snowball you on

you early in the season in one direction or another. Sometimes, you know, things just kind of

misfire for you in the early stages of the season. You put yourself behind the eight ball. You lose some

games early. You should not, you should win. And you never recover from them. I think back to the

2016 Jets who had some bad losses early in that season. And I know that team had like a lot of

aging players who kind of declined,

but Jets had some bad losses. They kind of just fell behind and they never really recovered.

That was a talented team. It was a team that won 10 games the year earlier. But, you know,
