Derek Henry's Catches Michael Pittman's production and is Mike Williams legit?

0:08.8

Let's talk about it right now on Fantasy Football Today in 5.

0:11.7

I'm Adam Beezer.

0:12.7

What's going on, everybody?

0:14.1

Happy Saturday to you.

0:15.4

If you're listening to this on Saturday morning, maybe you're watching it on YouTube.

So yeah, I'm Adam with Jacob Gibbs. And if you're watching, Jacob is not being lazy.

0:25.0

He is recovering from a serious back injury. So he's just kind of chilling there, as you can see.

0:30.0

But he's got great stuff for us today. All right. Derek Henry, very involved in the passing game.

0:35.7

What do you make of this so far? It's interesting. I don't want to overreact to it because his route involvement, so the percentage of the total dropbacks on which he's running a route, is right in line. We've always saw last year right at 42%. So I don't want to overreact to it too much, but he is being targeted at a much, much high rate than we've ever seen

0:54.2

before. He's had a target per route run rate of 26% in each of the first two games, so there's

1:00.4

some consistency there. And prior to that, he only had one game in his entire career with a rate

1:06.3

of at least 26%. So, like, that's, you know, maybe something. It's just a two-game sample size and it is,

1:12.2

you know, a somewhat small route sample size. We don't want to overreact, but it is interesting.

1:17.0

And I think we could see something similar in week three because they're playing a Colts

1:21.2

defense to play is a ton of zone. And typically Tanna Hill and really all quarterbacks

1:26.0

target the running back position a lot more heavily when they're facing zone schemes. I think his target, Derek Kennedy's target per outrun rate has risen from 9% versus man coverage all the way up to 17% versus zone in his career. So we could see him, you know, drop more targets again this week. And, you know, then you have three weeks in a row of a high target

1:44.3

for a run rate. It might be, it might be something. If he gets those targets, he's, I mean,

1:48.5

he's RB1, right? CMCs down, like all of a sudden that's Derek Henry, that's the only thing

1:52.2

that's been missing. Yeah, basically. Michael Pittman, he would tell me about this matchup this week

1:58.0

against the Titans for Pittman, who hopefully will have Carson Wentz, but as we record this, we don't know. Yeah. So on the other side of the ball,

...
