Thanks for listening to the Read Scripture podcast. I want to start off with an apology

because I just kind of disappeared for a few weeks. But here's what happened. It was what we're reading in scripture.

We're reading in proverbs about being careful with your words and not having many words.

And then Ecclesiases. and not having many words.

And then Ecclesiasties talks about just letting your words be few.

And then we got into Isaiah and it was just talking about humility and every time I would go to record where there was a video or a podcast or anything, I struggled with pride.

I was like, God, I want to do this humbly,

but I don't know how.

I want to come like Paul says in 1st Corinthians 2

with this fear and trembling and yet I find myself when I stand in front of a

microphone or a crowd or a video camera like there's there's just there was too much pride and

everything in scripture talks about how it's the humble person,

like he says in Isaiah,

the one who trembles at his word,

who's low and contrite,

God says that's the person he was gonna be with,

and it was just something I hungered for and so I just couldn't speak for a while and then I started thinking about this Reed Scripture podcast and the whole point of Reed scripture the reason why we created

it was we wanted people alone in the scriptures we wanted people to read the entirety of the scriptures and too many people were just relying on what people would tell them was in the scriptures.

And that's a dangerous thing because teachers have agendas, they have insecurities, personal preferences.

I'm not saying don't listen to anyone, but we have to know the scriptures ourselves just to make sure those teachers even being remotely accurate.
