Hello, everybody, welcome to the Rotorold football show. It's Sunday evening, January 4th, 26. I'm Patrick Dardy. Join this evening by Denny Carter, who's back from Canada at long last land. Kyle Dvorchick, he's not going to be with us a whole lot longer. He's heading out to, I made it sound like he's going to die. He's heading out to Arizona to witness the semifinals of the college football playoff. He was hoping to see his buck guys. But then fate intervened as it would have it. And he's not at all mad about seeing the Miami Hurricanes. We're not at all mad about getting to watch one final regular season Sunday of football. And we don't entirely know what to talk about. The playoffs are here. We're going to preview the entire wild card round on Thursday.

A lot of great matchups. A few not so great matchups, but honestly, probably the best 14 team

playoff field we've had since they expanded it. I think in 2021, going to be some really,

really good games. We'll break those down in earnest on Thursday. We'll do some initial gut reactions

for the teams that have made the playoffs and for the teams who did not make the playoffs. We don't really know what we're going to do. We're going to be honest with you. We're going to figure it out as we go. I proposed a few ideas before the show and Denny and Kammer. I thought, I could have an idea. Sure, man, whatever you want. Can you record? We are recording. We're going to take you through. So this is our typical recap show, just done in a typical fashion. Got to thank the whole crew for how much amazing work they did on that show all year. How much amazing work they did Sunday. They're blurbing up the entire slate of season ending blurbs for everyone. A lot of stuff's going to be going to the site this week, though, as we begin to preview the playoffs. for this is our final, like, look back kind of at 2025, even though it's now 2026 guys. First game on our sheet that were kind of just going in the same order we went on, went in on Thursday, Sands, the Saturday games, Sands, the Sunday night game. One of the first games we talked about, because I had one of the highest game totals was the Giants and the Cowboys. The Giants won this game 34 to 17. Guys, I was talking about how I wasn't sure, but the Cowboys put their best foot forward. They absolutely did not. Denny and or Cowboy, I should have planned, by the way, who I was going to go to first on each game.

You wouldn't want to plan any of this.

I don't think that would help. This is going to be a total free for all. The Cowboys, I know, Denny, I'll go to you first. Who's the player that's going to define the Cowboys off season? I don't know. This is a good rhetorical. I mean, it's, you know, it's an easy one.

It is. It's Pickens.

And I'm guessing it'll be a totally tortured situation back and forth between Jerry, like,

forgetting George Pickens' name and, uh, and, uh, and too real.

George Pickens, uh, posting the most cryptic nonsense you've ever seen online

uh like on a social media platform we're officially too old to even know exists yeah what is

what in the world is he saying on oak yeah on right on black girl that's honestly yeah

like he yeah uh so that that that that's like guaranteed, basically.

And that'll drag on for a while.

Maybe he'll end up with another team.

I mean, you know, I think he showed that when his head is on straight and he's happy and he's getting fed targets that he can be an elite receiver or at

least borderline elite. I think there are some teams that would would give anything to have George

Pickens, including, you know, just selling the farm maybe to the Cowboys to have him. I think

everybody's going to say, I can fix him. You know, and.

Well, Denny, especially since it's been proven that he can be fixed. Yeah, and the Cowboys. Clearly, the way to fix him is to play Cowboys football, which is like, we have no defense. We don't even want to play defense. We also don't want to run the football. So even if you're not the wide receiver one, you're putting up insane numbers. I mean, truly, this is just the answer.
