What is up? It's the rant. My name is Jeff Rackle, but it is Tuesday, December 27th.

Officially Fantasy Football Championship week. And that means it's the final waiver run

0:28.3

of the year. I'm not doing anything next week. I'm sorry if you still have leagues going on,

0:33.5

but it's such a small percentage out there. Most of us have our fantasy championships this week.

0:38.0

So this is it, baby. This is it. Before I dive into the waiver wire rankings for the week,

0:45.6

I did want to preface this week. I talked about this a little bit last week on this show as well.

0:49.8

But the reasons why we make moves this week, they're very different than most of the season.

0:55.2

Like in week five, if you said, hey, Jeff, should I go out and pick up blah, blah to block my

1:01.2

opponent? I'd be like, no, in week five, no, what we want to do in week five is we want to make

1:07.2

sure we continue to stockpile our bench, really looking towards the future for their guys that we

1:13.0

aren't going to be playing this week. We want to be proactive. We want to turn that bench.

1:17.1

You know, it's a very different style of playing in the early phase of the game, even in the middle

1:21.6

phase of the game, but we're in endgame phase now. And so now there's no next week. There's no

1:27.1

picking up for the rest of the season. The rest of the season is now. There's no looking forward

1:32.1

whatsoever. We are picking up players this week for two reasons and two reasons only.

1:37.1

First reason we're picking up guys who could potentially start for us. There are some guys

1:42.0

who are out there who could possibly be in our starting lineups. The other reason if we're not

1:47.9

picking them up to start for us, we're picking them up to put on our bench so our opponent doesn't

1:53.8

start them against us. It's plain and simple. That's it. Plan it simple. Put up the blocker on your

1:59.9

opponent if you're not going to use those guys. Now likewise, this relates to players who we would

2:06.4

drop. You know, this season, let's say you drafted Dalvin Cook and Alexander Madison and you've

2:12.0

held Alexander Madison this entire season. You got to use him briefly there, but for the most part,

...
