I'm Chris Towers here with Dan Schneier to break down Monday's Dolphin Saints game,

plus some of the big news from Monday around the NFL

and the top waiver-wire targets for week 16. First of all, Dan, we'll start with the big news.

And I think the biggest piece of news from this, from Monday, Jimmy Garoppolo has a torn UCL

in his thumb in his throwing hand, plus a fractured thumb, his status for week 17, very much in doubt.

Do you have any interest in Trey Lance in this very soft landing against the Houston Texans defense?

I definitely have some interest. I've been a Trey Lance believer. I like what he can do within this

system. But we have seen some Trey Lance this year and it wasn't pretty. Now, of course, this is a much better matchup than he's had. And he does have the dual threat ability. I would have interest in Trey Lans, especially with all his full complement of weapons now with George Kittle back in the mix as well. I'm not sure he had him the first time around. I'm misremembering that. So I do have interest in him as a flyer.

All right. We also had Clyde Edwards Lear, collarbone injury, not too serious, but his status for

week 16 is in some question. Miles Sanders will be out for week 17 with that broken hand.

And some good news. There's a possibility that Cam Acres could be back this week, five months removed from a ruptured Achilles,

an incredible comeback that it's even a question that he might play.

Do you expect him to have enough of a role to matter for fantasy with Darrell Henderson being added to the IR?

No, I wouldn't play him in my leagues, but I am impressed and I want to

see him out there. I saw him in practice. He looks spry. He looked good. Man, Achilles injuries used to be a death. I remember it completely changed Jimmy Graham's career, but now things are changing. Modern medicine is getting better. So I'm just going to be happy to see him out there, but he's not someone I could put out in my fantasy championship you know i could see maybe him getting his feet wet in week

17 and then for those of you playing the following week, maybe they give him one opportunity before the playoffs to really get up to full speed. And he could have a big week. I think expectations should be muted. But like you said, it's just a great story that he's out there already and potentially could play this week.

Let's move on to Monday's game. It was a pretty ugly one. The Dolphins defense dominated Ian Book, making his first NFL start for the Saints.
