It's week 17.

Most of our fantasy championship games are in progress and I hope you had a great Christmas.

Of course, that might not be the case if you were heavily invested in Thursday's triple header.

Not a lot of offense to recap

from those Christmas Day games. I do have a few notes here. The surprise in the early game came

when commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. was added to the official injury report just hours

before kickoff. He was listed as questionable with an illness and ultimately was declared inactive 90

minutes before kickoff.

With Rodriguez out, the bill finally came due, as in Bill Kroski Merritt.

He ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

Much of that total came on a 72-yard touchdown run.

For the Cowboys, Giovante Williams and Jake Ferguson left the game early with shoulder and calf injuries, respectively.

Williams scored a touchdown before he left. Neither player returned.

In Minnesota, Lions receiver of Monrae St. Brown appeared to hurt or aggravated knee injury

late in Detroit's 2310 loss to the Vikings. Not much meat in the fantasy bone in this one

unless you were playing the defenses.

In Kansas City, the best news is nobody was injured in Denver's 2013 win over the Chiefs, a game most notable for likely being Travis Kelsey's final game in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Looking ahead to the Saturday games, seems as if the Ravens will be without star quarterback
