I'm your host, Justin Boone, and I am joined by the score's David P. Woods,

a man who felt the sting of a playoff loss in our main league together Woods.

I saw you had a Jeff Wilson Jr. shrine up in a desperation last chance, just hoping that

he was going to pull through and give you the win.

Wasn't enough to get you the win, though.

No, I mean, I probably should have seen it coming as someone who had basically not heard of jeff wilson junior a week ago

today but uh yeah i needed a big game from him and you know in the score office created a little bit

of a shrine to pray to the fantasy gods for for you know multiple touchdowns out of uh jeff wilson junior and it didn't

happen but that's life and uh i honestly wasn't going to win that league probably anyhow because

there were some real juggernaut teams yours included so i'll move on uh for next year and uh you know

that that's that's fantasy football well i'm a little, though, because there's been so many injuries the last

couple weeks here.

My team in that league is getting hit by it as well, just like I think a lot of owners

out there probably are.

And a lot of owners right now in the same position as you, same position as me.

I lost in other leagues today, in part because of players like Melvin Gordon and James Connor and O'Dell Beckham

and Matt Brayden, his long list of guys that have all got knocked out the last couple weeks,

and we even saw a few more today get sidelined. Yeah, I mean, that's a big part of fancy football

is luck, and it's not fun to admit that, because you want to sort of tell yourself it's all skill, and you're in control of your own destiny in these. But nope, it often comes down to who stays healthy, and if luck goes your way, you can cruise all the way to a championship. But in particular, late this season, we're just seeing so many key players go out. Not all of them even injuries. I mean, Kareem Hunt's obviously available for non-injury reasons. And there just been teams that have been totally derailed by stuff. I mean, the Odell Beckham injury, that came out of nowhere. Who thought he wasn't going to play this weekend? There are teams that are going home this weekend because he wasn't available for them. Well, there was a lot to be learned from this week's game.
