Welcome to the week 14 recap podcast. My name is Pat Karein and in just a few moments, I'm going to be joined by everyone from the Roto World team. We've covered the games for us today. We're going to be diving into the context that you need to know for your fantasy football teams.

0:31.0

The Eagles defeated the Giants 48 to 22 and Lawrence Jackson. The Eagles have now clinched a playoff spot.

0:39.0

They clinched a playoff spot and they did it in a fairly easy fashion. Got up 21 zipped on the Giants and they played with at least a two touchdown lead from there.

0:50.0

So it was, you know, businesses usual for the Eagles and the Giants who started off seven and two, they now find themselves outside of the playoff picture.

1:01.0

Yeah, and of course the Eagles are looking for bigger things than just making a playoffs. I mean, this is a team that wants the number one seed in the NFC and could easily get it.

1:12.0

Let's, let's start with Miles Sanders here on the Eagles side in games grips like this. It's nice to see him put up 144 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns on 17 rushing attempts.

1:25.0

He also got targeted three times only at one for 11 as a receiver, but Jalen hurts only through for 217 yards in this game. Sanders being able to sulk away the game is kind of, you know, you got to suffer through a lot of so so to not very useful.

1:40.0

Miles Sanders weeks, but we've gotten a few of these like really big spike weeks. And this would be another one of those.

1:46.0

Yeah, I mean, the interesting about this is of those 217 passing yards, Jalen through for about 170 something of those in the first half.

1:58.0

The second half, they came out strictly committed to the run. And that's really where Miles Sanders got going just gash number five and six yards at a time and eventually scoring his second touchdown in the second half on a 40 hour run.

2:14.0

Yeah, it's nice to see AJ Brown and Devante Smith were very clearly the guys here in the receiving game, which is nice considering there wasn't a ton of production, but it was concentrated to the two fantasy relevant guys.

2:26.0

Brown had six targets going for for 70 and a touchdown Devante Smith eight targets five for 64 and a touchdown. What are your thoughts on this Eagles passing game?

2:36.0

I mean, it was a perfect scenario for it. If you start an eagle, any Eagles type players, because all of the Eagles players, you started had good days. And again, like I said, Jalen hurts did most of his work in the passing game through the first half.

2:51.0

That held true for, you know, both receivers, AJ Brown and Devante Smith, both of them catching long touchdown passes in the first half. So it was a good thing to see them get their work and get their fantasy points.

3:05.0

Because by the time the second half came, they didn't have to throw the ball anymore, but they handle they business when a number was caught.

3:14.0

Yeah, and Jalen hurts, you know, I mentioned only throwing for two hundred seventeen yards gets two touchdowns to the air, but also rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. So kind of the people's did they took care of business here, both in real life and.

3:26.0

Yeah, yeah, and again, Jalen hurts didn't have many rushing yards in the first half. He had his longest game of 24 yards in the second half that contributed to that.

3:37.0

He had that touchdown run, which is a 10 yard run in the second half. So a lot of his rushing yards came in the second half.

3:45.0

So once they got the lead man and they knew the giants couldn't do anything offensively, they just ran the ball until the game was over where they was bored.

3:54.0

Yeah, I mean, you're not kidding about the giants, not doing anything offensively.

3:58.0

Richie James led the way here with 61 yards and a touchdown seven targets or seven receptions on nine targets.

4:06.0

But I know at least one of I think his touchdown came in like pure garbage time from Tyler Taylor, right?
