Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at the score. Thank you for

0:22.1

hanging out with me for our first Friday show of the season. Things are a little bit different

0:27.8

this year when it comes to the Friday shows. The last few years, we've done the live show on

0:32.6

Twitter. It was a video. We had injury updates and we had Start Sit and we had a Q&A in there and then I just

0:40.9

pulled the audio and I published that as sort of an extra podcast episode this year we've

0:46.8

broken it up and for good reason I think it's going to allow us to do more with the Q&A

0:50.9

we're going to do that over on Twitter spaces. Same time every week on Friday

0:54.8

at 1 p.m. Eastern. So you can follow the score account. You can follow my account. Either way,

0:59.6

there'll be a link in there that you can click on to join us. And I'll open up the mic. You can

1:04.1

actually ask some questions yourself. We can get a little more information in those as well. I think

1:08.1

sometimes on Twitter, it's kind of tricky to fit all the info in there if you want a proper answer, scoring settings and your roster and all that kind of stuff. So we already did the first one today. I'm recording this right after it. So if you missed it, you can go back on Twitter. You can actually listen to the recording if you want. And if not, look ahead next week on Friday. I hope you'll join us there and we had some fun I mean you know opening the mics taking questions that it was kind of nice I liked it was something a little different than what we normally did when everyone was just typing in questions so I like that there'll be another opportunity to ask me some questions on Sunday we'll do the last minute Twitter takeover the scores main account on Sunday morning again like we didn't

1:46.9

the last few seasons that's at 1030 a.m. Eastern on Sunday I'll answer as many

1:52.7

tweets as I can in that one and I'll send something out on Sunday morning asking

1:56.8

for questions so if you're still struggling with those lineup decisions on

1:59.8

Sunday you can hit me up then as for today's, I still want to make sure everybody's getting the same content they've been getting the last few seasons, right? So since the Q&A portion of, you know, last year's show is going to be done on Twitter spaces this year. And since you can find all my start sit stuff in start, sit, stash quit in that column that goes up Friday mornings, I'm going to do the injury updates as its own podcast. And normally heading into week one, I feel like we don't have that much to talk about. But this year, there's a bunch of things that popped up this week that I think we have to account for. So we'll talk about those. But first, I just quickly want to hit on what we learned from last night's game, the season opener. And as a Bill's fan, it would be surprising if I didn't want to talk about last night's game, but I'm not here to gloat at all. I just think the first couple weeks of the season, it is incredibly important to react to what we're seeing in real game action. And that doesn't mean you freak out, doesn't mean you make crazy crazy moves with your roster it means you assess each player on their own merit and then

2:54.2

you go from there and there's a few things that I think we should take into account

2:57.6

from that Bill's Rams game last night the first is that these are two really good

3:02.5

teams so when you look at what happened you have to bake that in and then also

3:06.8

don't underestimate the impact

3:09.0

that Von Miller had on preparing Buffalo for that Rams team. Long time Bill's fans are going to remember

3:14.7

that years ago, the Patriots cut safety Laura Malloy before the season. It was like a week or two

3:20.0

before the season. Buffalo picked him up, and they played New England in the season opener
