Folks, we made it. Week one is here. Fantasy drafts are done.

0:04.3

Lineups are in need of being set, and the path to fantasy championships can officially begin.

0:10.5

I'm John Macri, and for this episode of the PFF Fantasy podcast, IDP edition, I'll be going game by game, providing as much week one IDP starts and advice as I possibly can. So let's get it. All right.

0:48.3

I've got a lot of thoughts on each game and our IDPs heading into week one.

0:54.1

So I'm going to try to keep this tight and concise because there's so much we still don't know and need information on.

1:00.4

But I'll still try and hit on as many players and teams and their key IDP positions for every single game as we did every week last year.

1:10.0

Only difference for this week is I'm not going to have our matchup charts just for this first week only,

1:14.6

just because I'd be using last year's data.

1:18.6

And to be honest, I feel that's a bit disingenuous.

1:20.6

I really not reliable since so much has changed this off season and the reason for, you know, certain teams may be creating

1:28.9

higher tackle numbers than others also changes significantly with scheme changes and new coaching,

1:34.6

new personnel, everything. So I'm not even going to look at last year's charts for reference

1:39.1

in week one. Instead, we'll bring back that stuff for week two and beyond when we have actual data to pour

1:45.5

through and when it can start being a little bit more reliable although i'll still probably

1:50.7

warn for waiting for a larger sample size before we lean into the data too much as the week goes on so

1:56.7

anyways um what we'll do here is we'll walk through the players and positions of interest for each team,

2:04.0

talk about the players that are safe to start and the ones who I'd rather wait on until we see the usage,

2:08.5

because that's kind of what week one is every year, right?

2:11.6

It's not a must-win fantasy game for us by any means, so we don't need to take unnecessary risks.

2:16.9

Instead, we'll just stick with the players who we know should be productive, should be in full-time roles, and hope for the best, and then we can work things with more detail after this week. So it might be a bit of a shorter version of StartSit. We'll see as I run through the names and talk about who I expect to be safe and which ones I'll try to avoid. But also, I'll include timestamps for each game in the episode description so that you guys can bounce around, find the games that you're looking for if you don't want to listen to the full thing. And of course, always feel free to ask questions in the comments. If you have your own start-sit questions, I will do my best to get to them all. Just be sure to like and subscribe to the YouTube channel. I'd greatly appreciate that. All right, let's get started here. Also, the images that you'll see on the screen right now are just placeholders for week one. We'll have some nice matchup charts coming out next week. But since it is week one, I don't trust any of the tackle matchup data from last year.

3:24.4

We'll go with this for one week. So you don't have to just stare at my face for an hour and listen to my voice. My God, I can't imagine a worse hell just to get this IDP information. The best IDP information, of course, but nothing comes without a cost. No, I don't know. I'll stop. Let's get into it here. Thursday night football, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles. We're going to cost. No, I don't know. I'll stop. Let's get into it here. Thursday night football,

3:29.8

Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles. We're going to start with Micah Parsons. Oh, no,
