Matt Eglaceus and Darryl Lindonai were in New York at the now here this festival. It was a super cool event with 25 different podcasts

and we got to do a really awesome live show in front of the audience there.

So today we're bringing you that episode where we dig in and get a really wiedzy look at the Canadian immigration system.

We look at the politics of uncertainty how Trump is using uncertainty as actually a policy making the vice.

And we have a white paper standoff where Matt Dara and I each brought our very favorite white papers.

Hi! Hello! Hello, hi guys. 18. How's it going? Thanks for coming. I'm at Matthew Eglaceus.

I learned from the voice over there that I've been mispronouncing Dara's name for many years now.

But don't, don't, don't care, don't notice.

They would have been mispronouncing my name, but that's okay. We are the weeds.

And we, I don't know, I hope most of you are familiar with your show, but for those who aren't, we try to cover the news in a really boring non-newsy way.

So like there's a devastating hurricane pummeling on the state of Florida. We're not going to talk about that.

We instead have a detailed look at the Canadian immigration system coming for you.

But we really do because we have an immigration expert and a Canadian and I took a class about Canada in college.

So with our powers combined, we're really going to do this.

We're going to be combined. We've got also, we're going to do a little research paper competition later.

We're going to let you vote on what we're going to talk about.

But you know, first, obviously the sort of most dramatic political news event we had last year, last week was we saw Donald Trump send Jeff sessions out to announce that the deferred action for childhood arrivals program was being canceled.

We then saw Trump himself tweeting indicating that well, maybe he would revisit this decision.
