Well I guess I'd have to give my mentor Jim Kobulesci a shot out for this one because he's really instilled this one in me.

You know, the weeds are just an indicator species, you know, when we just come in and, you know, spray them with herbicide,

you know, that's not going to fix the problem, you know, it's just kind of like putting a band-aid on there.

It's not going to, you know, it's not going to get to the root of the issue, you know, so if you have a test issue, you know so if you have a pest issue you know if there's a disease issue you know it's a sign that we have out of balance in the garden so when we get these weeds you know these nuts edges and torpedo grass and Bermuda are just some of the really

bad ones that we have to deal with here in Florida you know they they're

typically working really hard you know they they have a part in the system they're trying to fill the void they're trying to bring up a mineral or a nutrient that you know isn't present you know they're trying to make it available bioavailable to the plants that are on top of the soil so you, you know, there's many different ways.

You know, Jim has taught me, you know, like torpedo grass is kind of like my nemesis.

It's probably one of the worst weeds that we deal with down here in Florida.
