| 0:00.0 | It's Wednesday, September 17, 2025. I'm Albert Moller, and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview. |
| 0:14.5 | We all knew that we would know more as of yesterday, and that is because law enforcement and prosecutorial officials in Utah |
| 0:22.2 | released information yesterday with official charges against Tyler Robinson, now formally |
| 0:28.8 | charged with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. But we also knew there would be more information |
| 0:34.4 | that would help us to fill out the crime to understand the charges, |
| 0:37.7 | the context, the results of the investigation. And we did get a great deal of information yesterday. |
| 0:43.7 | None of it contrary to what we thought going into the weekend. But it is important that we |
| 0:50.4 | understand a larger composite hole as we look to this picture, the larger picture. |
| 0:56.6 | So as law enforcement officials set out the charges and put forth at least the first view |
| 1:02.2 | of their evidence, they mentioned the fact that the background of Tyler Robinson is one |
| 1:06.7 | in which you had a young man who became radicalized, left-wing radicalization, and he did so, |
| 1:13.1 | even as the investigators recognize, his parents held a very different position. For one thing, |
| 1:17.5 | you have a father who is presented as being far more conservative than his son, father and mother, |
| 1:22.1 | who turn out, at least given this evidence, to have done basically the right thing in reaching out to their |
| 1:29.5 | son. The mother reached out explicitly to the son, asking, is this you? Asking, where are you? |
| 1:35.8 | Recognizing the weapon that was used, the parents had the concern. This was a weapon that did |
| 1:41.7 | belong to their son. They asked for a photograph of the weapon. It did not come. |
| 1:46.6 | And then came messages of threatened self-harm. The parents convinced Tyler Robinson to go to their |
| 1:53.4 | house. And eventually, a family friend was involved who contacted authorities. And eventually, |
| 1:59.0 | Tyler Robinson turned himself in rather than |
| 2:01.9 | to hurt himself. But the messages are absolutely chilling. The calculation and all of this |
| 2:08.2 | absolutely chilling. At no point in all of the information released yesterday, did it appear |
