Our current head bureaucracy in charge, the National Archives, says that they still are not sure if they have all of the documents that they requested from Donald Trump, even after the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago.

This information came from a letter by the Committee on Oversight and Reform in the House of Representatives, which claimed that on August 24th phone call, staff from the National Archives were not sure that they have all of the records.

The House Committee on Oversight and Reform is relevant here because they have jurisdiction over the Presidential Records Act.

This is the relevant law that requires all presidential documents to be archived as property of the U.S. government, which Donald Trump is breaking by having these documents in his possession in the first place.

The Committee is asking the agency to conduct an urgent review and provide an initial assessment by September 24th.

In a likely attempt to get his name in the news for something other than being subpoenaed for potentially interfering in the election of a state in which he isn't even a senator, Lindsey Graham introduced legislation yesterday that would federally ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

There is no chance that majority leader Chuck Schumer is going to allow this bill to receive a vote on the floor, and we should continue to ignore Lindsey Graham's meaningless antics.

If not meant to distract from his subpoena in Georgia, it could have been an attempt to put a damper on President Biden's big celebration at the White House yesterday to honor the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

The bill marks the country's largest investment in fighting climate change, while also lowering prescription drug prices, increasing access to electric cars and efficient energy for consumers, and they plan to fund it all by taxing companies earning over a billion dollars

and by empowering the IRS to grow after missing tax revenue.

You might remember the Twitter whistleblower who came out in July with explosive allegations about the company's vast cybersecurity negligence and privacy weaknesses.

Peter Zachko, who formerly served as Twitter security chief, testified before Congress yesterday, and revealed that the company knowingly allowed foreign agents from China's and India's intelligence services on Twitter's payroll, which means potentially giving those countries access to sensitive user data.

Zachko said that Twitter is, quote, misleading the public, lawmakers, regulators, and even its own board of directors, and that they don't even know what data they have, so they can't protect it.
