And in pop culture news, it was exactly 14 years ago that Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift

at the VMAs. This year's VMAs went down last night. We'll talk all about that in a bit, but yeah,

I was on this date in 2009 that this happened.

Okay. Before we get to the VMAs and everything else here, we'll start with the top story.

This one is really kind of gripped the nation over the last couple of weeks, and everyone is

really hoping for a quick and peaceful ending. That convicted murderer that escaped from Pennsylvania

prison back on August 31st is still on the loose as of this morning. Dannello Cavalcante is his

name. He's been spotted a couple times, but authorities have not been able to catch the guy.

Most recently, he broke into a house, a garage, technically late Monday night, and stole a rifle.

The homeowner actually got a couple shots off at him, but the police said there was no blood

or anything at the scene, which would lead them to believe he was injured. With that stolen rifle,

now they are warning the public that he is armed and extremely dangerous. Some schools in the

South Coventry Township area are closed and residents are urged to lock their doors and be

on the lookout for suspicious behavior. Again, hoping for some resolution on this one real soon.

All right, okay. On to sports here. It's official, guys. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out for the

rest of the season. The MRI yesterday confirmed what was feared. It's a torn Achilles, a complete tear.
