Kirk was struck by a bullet near his neck. Blood shooting out of his neck hit the floor and

we just had to bolt it out of there. Moments ago, law enforcement saying a person of interest

now in custody. Political leaders from both parties condemning the assassination, the latest act of

chilling political violence in America. President Trump posting, he was loved and admired by all,

especially me. Kirk was known for his often inflammatory takes on charged political issues.
